Age suitable for:
- All ages
In partnership with John Hansard Gallery, the Southampton Institute for Arts and Humanities and the Public Engagement with Research unit, a fourth cohort of researchers working across a range of science disciplines at the University of Southampton have taken part in an exciting and dynamic project which brings science and poetry together.
Poetic Science aims to foster an environment of multidisciplinarity, supporting postgraduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and researchers in the sciences to develop creative engagement and communication techniques about their research through poetry.
Working with the Poetic Science Creative Writer, Dr Helen Eastman, participants have accessed sessions developing skills in poetry and live performance.
At this showcase event, you will hear live poetry from Dr Eastman and our Poetic Scientists, including their final pieces - as well as learning more about the project and its impact on all involved.
LOCATION: John Hansard Gallery, 142 - 144 Above Bar St (SO14 7DU)
