THIS EVENT REQUIRES ADDITIONAL BOOKING
Join students and staff from the School of Electronics and Computer Science for this interactive workshop during which you will use a block-based visual programming environment to code an autonomous micro:bit robot which will follow a line around our bespoke arena. You'll learn basic programming concepts like control and loop structures, as well as concepts specific to controlling our robots, like motor and sensor control, and then put them into practice with help and support from our friendly volunteers. Then, we'll time your robot and see how fast you can make it around our track, after which there will be some time for you to go back and work on your software design to see if you can do even better!Queue alert: This activity is very popular, please consider that there might be a queue to access the room where the event is taking place
